2:03 am	Jack Thompson Hello everyone I have just come across an interesting video about a debate for violence in videogames. two of the head debaters are Adam sessler(a co-host to a popular video game show, as well as an avid gamer) and Jack Thompson(a lawer and anti-violent video game activist). The video is right here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yREGBKZggwA Now I personally do not like Jack Thompson's beliefs and I most certainly do not agree with him. If you have ever heard the saying "I'm not going to let a simple thing like logic get in the way of me winning this argument" you should know Jack Thompson is a prime example of that. Now I would not go as far as to say he is an idot or a jerk, I would say he is slightly misinformed and he lets his religon get in the way of logic a little to often. He is the kind of man that can not let the person he is arguing with get a word in edge wise as you can see in the video. Personally I do not think that violence in video games effect violence in the real world nor do I belive that the person refered to in the video that shot 3 kids used Doom as prctice(I personally play First-person shooters all the time and I'm pretty good, but I have been to a shooting range before and I did horrible, there is little to no corrolation with the two). With things like violent movies, music that talks about killing other people and even the news about Iraq, I think it is incredibly thick-headed to think video games and video games alone are the sole reson for the increase in violence in america. Not to mention the fact that video games are more played in Japan then here and there crime-rate is signifigantly lower then ours. I could rant about this all day and all night, but I think that is enough by now. 3:06 am	Heath Ledger?!?!?! Hello my avid readers... all three of you... for those of you who do not know there is a new Batman movie being filmed, from what I have gathered it is a continuation of Batman Begins and ALSO a remake of the original Batman AT THE SAME TIME. Now the title may lead you to belive Heath Ledger("10 things I hate about you", "brokeback mountain", "The Brothers Grimm", the list goes on) will be playing the new batman. For all of you that thought that YOUR WRONG, he will be playing the joker... THE JOKER, I hope he does a good job he has never done a role like this before, ever. I mean Robin Williams lost out to him for the role, so he had better shock and awe me. The thing that worrys me most is that he is baisicly going up against Jack(if you do not know who I am talking about you are a sad individual who needs to watch the first Batman(well it was not the first it was the first one NOT based off that lame 60's T.V show). And I don't know if the kids got what it takes to do it. BUT on the overall, I think the movie will be REALLY good, I loved Begins, it was all dark and corruppt and awesome, like the comics, LIKE IT SHOULD BE. The make or break factor for ME will be Heath Ledger's proformance and my OFFICIAL stand will be I think he will blow me away and do an outstanding job. Now that I am done with that rant your probably saying "That was interesting Shawn, but what about you why have you not blogged for 2 months EXACTLY, is that a coincidence or were you just doing it to be cool" and if that is what your thinking then yes I did it to be cool, but if your not stupid and your not thinking that then no, the truth is NOTHING noteworthy has happened finding out Heath Ledger playing Joker in the Batman is the most noteworthy thing that has happened in the past two months(not really but still). So to end this I will say if you did not like this blog "Well thats YOUR prerogative"(Its an inside joke if you did not get it then your not cool. (Comment on this)

3:23 am	Its a little thing called depth perception people I just hate stupid people who look at you wait three seconds, when they think that your out of earshot and say something bad about you, well to you people I have one thing to say "JUST BECAUSE I CAN'T SEE YOU DOES NOT MEAN I CAN'T YOU, YOU DUMBASS FUCKTARDS". It doesn't bother me that they're saying something bad, its just that they think that I'm that oblivious that I cant hear them 5 feet away. Well anyway I felt that I needed to post that for some reason...don't know what that reason is, but im sure theres one somewhere. On a slightly less agravated note, I heard X-men 3 was good, I havn't seen it yet, but I might try to go today sometime after I wake up, I also want to go see over the hedge, but the thing is movies are just so damn expensive, and I dont have a date to go with, and going with friends just isin't as good, but back to X3, I heard Johnny Depp was playing gambit...but hes not even in the damned movie, NO GAMBIT AND NO NIGHTCRAWLER WTF!!!!!!!. Well its not too big of a deal, deppressing non the less, but not the end of the world. The improv party is still on for thursday as long as it does not rain(If it does then I'll do my best to find an indoor like solution) it will be at colt state park, illl be going tommorrow to scout out a good area and Ill post it then, Its still an open Invite you can just show up if you'd like, but I prefer if you told me so I can know how much refreshments(doritos and the dew, maybe some pizza) to get. Here is a list of some the games that will be played(forgive me if the explnation is hard to follow) : Legend: * = game I made up ** = "From whos line is it anyway?" *** = From my drama class *** Improv freeze tag- A scene is given to two people and they start acting it out, at any point someone from outside the people improving jumps in and tags someone at this point the person taged leaves the scene and the other person must remain frozen in the position he/she is in while the person tagging can go anywhere, at this point the tagger starts a compleatly new scene, this is repeted untill it gets old. **Questions only-the name speaks for itself, it also helps to have seen "Whos line is it anyway?" more information will be given at party *What it REALLY means- a scene is given to 2 or more people, each person has another person off to the side. After each person is done with talking, their corisponding person says what he REALLY means(ex. Hey how are you doing/God damnit why are you here good how about you/ its none of your damn buissness asshole leave me alone. ect...) Their will be more then that, but thats all I fell like writing for now, I may post more games later, Im not sure though, but there will be several more. The party will last form around 12:00 untill 6 or 7ish, people can come and go as they please, and Improv is not the only thing that will happen Ill think of some other stuff for the party if things seem to be getting boring. If oyur lucky and im prepared, the people there will be the first to see my stand-up act ive been working on... and probably the monologues as well. 3:16 am	Ha I was right Hey guys, i have not posted in a while i know and not many people read this, but I have news, I WAS FUCKING RIGHT, about what you ask spiderman 3. I said that It was gonna be one of 2 villians Venom or sandman, and guess what its both of them, thats right I am awesome like that, I an upset because what little ive seen and heard about this movie venom sucks ass, he doent look at all like he does in the comics(but you can barly see his face letalone a full body shot so I wont pass to much judgement yet) I hope to blog more often now(yeah I know i say that all the time but im saying it again damnit) but only because I plan on starting the webcomic very soon(hopefully) and I need to blog a lot for that so this is like practic. Anyway on even nerdier news, I am very excited about a 2 new games coming out...eventually, the first is Marvel: ultimate alliance, heres the concept, all the villians in the marvel universe have teamed up to make one hell of a super team, so natually all of the heros must do the same, you get to choose 4 heros from a vast number of characters(over 60 heros!!!!!) and it is D&D heros style gameplay from there on out, but back to the heros real fast, this is one of the reasons im so psyced about this game i can have spiderman, ghost rider,hulk, and wolverene on a team or iron man, silver surfer, thor, and blade. so...many...options. and the other game is Super Smash Brothers Brawl for the Wii(I still dislike the name, but ill get over it once the jokes about its name end), in this game there will be a few new characters such as metal knight, pitt and solid snake, and now that was not a typo or a horrible joke, SOLID SNAKE IS GOING TO BE IN THE NEW SMASH BROTHERS. what bothers me about this is that he will be a ...little... out of place, and what his moves are going to be is a bit of a mystery(maybe his down and B will be him hiding in the box,lol), but i really wonder what his up and B move will be(the one that helps you get back on stage(grapling hook possibly, eh ill just wait to find that out). well thats about it for now feel free to comment and let me know what you think see ya. 11:53 am	its a reason not an excuse Hey boys and girls sorry I havnt written in a while I errr...was kidnapped....yeah thats it kidnapped by... a secret socity of underground cave dwellers. They called themselvs gofermen because they said "moleman" was WAY too overused. If was a horrid experience... but they let me talk to people on the phone and use internet...but not livejournal...so yeah thats why I have not updated...Okay fine I havent updated because im a lazy slacker and I havent had the urge to blog. But in the real world I have done some interesting things recently. I played laser tag last friday and i might be going again this friday. Unfortunatly I still work at McDonalds or as I like to call it "Lucifers sweat(sp?) shop". double unfortunatly the comic is STILL NOT up yet because kevin is "busy" and hasnt had the time to make the site, meanwhile I have been busy writing the comic and have been dying to see it up and running. In a more positve area I have played and beaten one of the most awesome games ever Indigo Prophecy, It is SOOOOOO good I started playing at noon and didnt stop till midnight when I beat it, the story line is so amazing and the game play is unique and challenging. If you have the oppertunity to devote about 12 hours into this game by all means do so. I have also recently come up with a new policy for all those surveys flying around, you have to send it to me filled out with your answers for me to send it back to you with mine, and Im sticking to it. Something else im sticking to is my new workout agenda, it involves 100 to 150 crunches and 40-60 pushups every night, ive been doing it for about 2 weeks now and I plan to keep it up. 11:27 am	Hello World Sorry I have not updated in a while, it's just that nothing has really happened I do the same thing every day work and watch some t.v because all my friends are at school and I work at night. Well anyway I have watched a couple of new movies(to DVD at least) "American Pie: Band Camp" I liked it a lot its my favorite one so far, "Corpse Bride" which was a bit creepy but overall was a good movie, and "Waiting..." which was OK the story sucked it was just one punchline after another, but the upside is that the jokes were funny. I also found a game I was looking for, Star Ocean: Till the ends of time, Which is an awesome game that I thought I lost, but it turns out I forgot to unpack it because it was in a secret compartment I forgot about in my suit case, it was there because I had run out of room. In other news though I have gotten a girls phone number who I would like to ask out (which im a little nervous to do), and thats what im going to do next time I talk to her, I hope to get a yes but if I get I no i'll live. 9:45 am	Something is wrong with me I think I seriously have some sort of personallity difunction because I can't stay mad or sad for an extended period of time no matter what. Like yesterday Amanda and I had a post-break-up fight that hurt a lot more then the acctual break-up because of certain things that were said, and I was VERY sad for like 5 minutes, then I was watching malcom in the middle laughing without a care in the world, and today im in a good mood, and the worst part is I shouldnt be, I need like anti-prozak or sad pills or something like that.
